Bedroom Conundrum
You guys know by now that I'm usually drawn to bright and airy rooms, but lately I've been drawn to quite the opposite. Bedrooms with dark walls. Maybe it's the weather changing, but something about a black or grey wall just makes me want to curl up with a nice book on a rainy day. Then again, I really love both. How about you? What pulls you in?

For master bedrooms I like dark colors on the walls. Seems more cozy and can be romantic too. I like the 4th photo down! Like the walls, love the headboard, the chair, and the fur blanket! Guestrooms and kids rooms I like brighter. I just painted all my cheap guestroom furniture white! I want to get a blue tufted headboard for the bed in there, I was going to ask you if you knew where I could get one for a decent price. I'd love turquoise, but can't seem to find one. Hope you're doing well in NY. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that's my favorite dark room photo as well:). As far as a headboard goes, the cheapest way is to upholster it yourself, and it's fairly simple. There's a lot of tutorial's online, or email me- I say go for it!
