Christmas in My Home
Since last Thursday's post, my heart has been so heavy regarding the shooting in Connecticut. Like everyone else, I can't seem to shake the tragedy and it hits even closer to home now that I have a little one. My heart goes out to those families.

While you hold your loved ones a little closer this Christmas, I decided to bring to you a glimpse of the holidays in my home. (Also, many thanks to Jan at Poppytalk for featuring me here).
1. Homemade ornaments. This was one of my favorites from this year:
2. We have a new tradition for tree-cutting day: homemade hot chocolate and homemade marshmellows
3. I made half-dipped pinecones (as well as "fully dipped") this year. I love the way they turned out!
4. After visiting my friend Laura's house and seeing her gifts already wrapped under the tree, I was inspired to wrap mine earlier and enjoy the process (rather than my usual stressed/hurried wrapping jobs). I hope to continue this tradition- it really does add a lot!
